A Closer Look

The TRBLESHOOTERS 7 collection features installments of both a coloring book and a full children’s book in which Sevynn portrays the protagonist.

The children’s tale is a classic hero’s journey, and the story is intended to educate and emphasize virtue to the younger generation. While the book is written for children, it is laced with motifs such as leadership, discernment, ‘right’ vs ‘wrong’, teamwork, courage, independent thought, and more; the writing does not fall short of being an excellent read for those of all ages. We can all learn a lesson or two on how to approach the perils that the media has bestowed upon us.

“TRBLESHOOTERS 7: The Chosen is a compelling book for youth that follows Sevynn Indigo alongside her journey to deliver herself and her peers from Media.

Since Media has been crowned King, the city of Cyberia has been plagued by the ills of his supremacy. Afovia, Sevynn’s mother, is stricken by the ego-driven effect the usage of Media has on Sevynn and the rest of the youth. Knowing that Sevynn is chosen, Afovia sends her on a quest to defeat Media once and for all.

On her journey, Sevynn encounters Wisdom who becomes her guide and spiritual teacher. Through Wisdom, She gains confidence and courage and realizes that her mother was right: she must be the one to challenge media. Afterall, being a Trbleshooter is in her blood.

Ride with us as we accompany Sevynn on this adventure. She’ll challenge Media’s posse of Pride, Lust, Envy, Sloth, Wrath, Gluttony, and Greed with the help of Wisdom’s disciples: Humility, Chastity, Love, Zeal, Kindness, Temperance, and Charity.

The coloring book installment of this collection is intended to provoke creativity, expression, and imagination whilst bringing the art of storytelling back to coloring. While The coloring book will outlay the storyboard in black and white and feature key vocabulary from the story, the children’s book will include fully written and illustrated scenes in complete color and feature additional writing and special additions from the author and illustrator in reference to the process behind creating the book.

IN HONOR OF OUR YOUTH AND BRILLIANT MINDS, IT IS A GREAT PRIVILEGE TO ANNOUNCE OUR FIRST GIVEBACK TO THE COMMUNITY:

JULY 31, 2024 join us for a special launch day event where we will share a full night of creative exploration.

Both the coloring book ($7) and children’s book ($13.77) will be available for purchase on the night of the event but pre-orders are highly encouraged, as no sales can be made on the premises.

Wombanhood cover reveal

A first look at the official cover and blurb design for Wombanhood.

A special recognition and thanks to Jahvinci (IG: @Reldavinci__) for creation of the cover artwork. This collaboration was long overdue and the cover came out so dope- I couldn’t be more obsessed with it. It’s the womb that breeds you, literally. Rel’s interpretation of the concept is perfectly subtle, yet stunning and sensual. ‘Wombanhood’ will be available for purchase as an iBook for a very limited time- add it to your library while you can! iBooks pre-order is officially live today.

The womb that breeds you presents: ‘wombanhood’ Blurb reveal

The original cover art for The Womb That Breeds You was meant to embody and showcase what it means to be a woman in a raw, relatable, and intriguing way. There’s the image of the legs propped open- the womb exposed, the puckering red lips, a wink, and a cigarette to the “mouth”. It catches the eye, surely. Back in 2017, it was a bold choice. A mix of promiscuity, femininity, familiarity, and quite frankly, vulgarity. The point of the cover and all of the poetry within has always been to grab your attention, to make you feel. To admire womanhood through all of its stages and appreciate every type of woman, not just some types. An ode to growing up as a girl of color who was just learning to navigate through love without having ever been taught how. As i’m sure you’d imagine, the captivating paradox of beauty and grit was inevitable.

I knew immediately that the new cover must evoke the same level of allure and emotion in an elevated, more sophisticated, more grown woman way. It was important for me to keep the core of the cover artwork … the same message, but with a new flare and a new interpretation from a different artist. I’ve put so much thought into every detail of this project. It’s going to be really special. With the cover and blurb design, I even considered how different colors would effect the mood and feel of it all. I went with oranges, and reds, and ambers because they represent passion, fire, warmth, and sensuality- all characteristics of a stellar woman. The illustrated design is what I believe to be an artistic metaphor of the womb.
